Key aspects of the job:
·Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
·Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and by effective organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
·Develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of all students, according to age, ability and aptitude.
·Assess and record progress and prepare students for appropriate tests.
·Link students' knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways to encourage it further, challenging and inspiring students to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.
·Work flexibly, be open to new ideas and contribute imaginatively and enthusiastically to help strengthen and develop Prestige Education Centre.
·Support and encourage colleagues in a friendly, open and professional way.
Tasks of all teachers at The Prestige Education Centre include:
·teaching all areas of the school curriculum; this includes full involvement with the non-academic parts of the programme such as sports.
·organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment;
·planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class;
·carrying out i-pad interaction with the students; posting, answering and correcting questions on a daily basis.
·motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
·maintaining good discipline; this includes taking meals with the students and ensuring appropriate behavior.
·preparing and marking work to facilitate positive student development;
·meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of students' development;
·providing feedback to parents on a student's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings;
·coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area;
·working with others to plan and coordinate work;
·keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum;
·organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities;
·liaising with colleagues and working flexibly.
